The New York Day of Remembrance Committee presents the 2nd Annual New York City Fred T. Korematsu Day of Civil Liberties and the Constitution on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at the New York County Lawyers Association, Andrew Hamilton Hall, from 6:30 to 9:00 pm.
The event will also commemorate Korematsu’s 100th birthday. He was born on January 30, 1919, in Oakland, Calif.
A reenactment of legal proceedings in Korematsu v. United States will be performed by member of the Asian American Bar Association of New York.
A reception will follow the program.
