Filmmaker Wanted for Asian Law Caucus Short Documentary

The Asian Law Caucus is looking for an experienced filmmaker to create a short documentary about the Asian Law Caucus’ history and current work in the community. With the guidance of ALC staff, the ideal candidate will be able to accurately and persuasively portray the Asian Law Caucus’s powerful story through a short film no longer than 10 minutes, including a 30 second promotional trailer.

Interested candidates are required to submit the following no later than Monday, February 2, 2009 at 1:00pm: A brief resume summarizing relevant experience; a statement why you are interested in the ALC film project (1-2 pages); and samples of work, particularly documentaries (links to videos online or DVD format).

ALC will provide funding for the film and conceptual guidance to the filmmaker. Filmmaker must have access to his/her own production and post-production equipment. The Asian Law Caucus will present the film the 37th Anniversary Dinner on April 30, 2009. It is a great opportunity to gain exposure and recognition utilizing the network of a renowned civil rights organization.
