Benefit Shows to End Violence Against Filipina Women and Girls

vday.jpg

For four years, the Filipina Women’s Network has been part of V-Day, the global movement to end violence against women and girls.  To raise funds for programs that assist victims of abuse and violence, FWN has produced locally each year Eve Ensler’s play, “The Vagina Monologues.”  This year, FWN will also present “A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant, and A Prayer.”

The success of the show and its message is evident by the addition of Filipino men to the San Francisco cast this year.  There are a number of Bay Area Fil-Am community leaders, a Hollywood actress, a magazine publisher, homemakers, students, and professionals in the cast.  Please show your support and attend one of the shows with your friends and family. They are powerful and life-changing. Come and see what everyone is talking about!

Buy a ticket and support the only Filipino organization in the country with an ongoing anti-domestic violence campaign. The community is coming together to put a stop to the suffering of countless Filipina women and girls.  We hope you will be a part of it.
